About selecting your access number and network

When selecting the access phone number and network you will use to access the internet there are a couple important consideration to make. The primary consideration is whether this number is a Local Phone call, that is will your telephone company charge any long distance fee. It is important to note that just because the phone number uses the same Area Code this doesn't necessarily make it a local, or non toll call. The only way to determine this is to check with your phone company.

You will notice when you look for a access phone number to use that we make a reference to a particular network (network "te", network "qw", network "uu", network "st") When selecting the number you will enter into the sign up form, you should consider a few things regarding the network associated with that number. If you plan to access the internet from multiple locations you should confirm that we have a local access number in the same network for each of these locations. In the rare occasion that your two locations require a separate network this will require a second account, if you contact us by e-mail we can make arrangements for a second account at a discounted price. Please note that the different networks have a slightly different policy regarding usage, Network "uu" limits the customer to 150 hours per month, and that for all Qwest locations, that they will be limited to 200 hours of access per month. Approximately 97% of all customers use under 150 hours per month. If this limitation is a problem then you will need to chose a number under networks "te" or "st".

If you plan to use our Static IP, or Filtered access feature, then you must select a number that supports this, usually a network "st" number. This can be determined by checking the Static IP, Filtered box when doing a number look-up. The static IP option will take 1-3 business days to process. If it does not get completed within 3 business days, please contact us with the username
